Today I will have to share with you one of my analog pictures. Lately we’ve been having kind of a rush. For some reason we really wanted to finish all the decoration projects we’ve once started in our apartment. I think an apartment or house is never totally finished or ready, but after working 3 hours on our second photo-canvas, I’m finished for a good while. I’m curious what you’ve already done to make your room or home prettier.
Anyway, this picture and our apartment makes something simple really clear, you don’t need big money to surround yourself with happiness. Photos, books and candles are not that expensive and will make every home and life a little brighter. And never forget the most important ingredient (and it’s for free!) - LAUGHTER!

I have them! After so many failures and dissapointments I’m finally able to share with you the results of my first analog photos! This is my favorite shot out of the first film and it worked out just the way I hoped it would. That’s the amazing detail of analoge photography - You have ideas, you shoot and you wait like a little child to see how it looks.

Yesterday I found some old negatives.. it was awesome looking at them. Like framed little memories of old times, ready to be duplicated any time you want. Awesome!!! You see everything but you have to hold it through the light, look at it differently and you’ll see all that’s captured in them.
I’m still waiting for my first analog film to be revealed. Seems like I’m not having much luck with it because one film has the status “revealed” on the internet page but the other one we sent in (mine) not. Kharma is really trying to play a hard trick on me here. But know what, I don’t care. I’ll keep on trying and one day I’ll succeed, or at least see some results (at this point this would count as succeeded for me). Stressing out won’t make this film be revealed faster, so I’ll just wait and continue shooting the next films in the meantime! Someday Kharma or whatever entity holds the power over local photographic laboratories will have to recognize that I will not give up. So they might aswell develop my film.

So the big fiasko happened! I was prepared to see a bunch of blurriness the moment I got my revealed pictures.. but.. turned out the film had no photo at all. I didn’t put it in the right way so I just spent 2,55 € (and got treated kind of rude by the lady at the store) for nothing.
I started thinking about why that happened. Was the camera broken? We went to another store and a really nice guy checked the camera. He said it was fine and everything seemed to be working and that this film was being exposed the right way! He looked at the revealed (and blank…) negative stripes and confirmed our theory that the previous film was unexposed. Her showed us how to see if the film was inserted right, how it should look and feel like when rolling the film back in and all sorts of things. So we decided to shoot the 15 missing frames of the current film today and take the films to the store.
What started really sad ended as a great trip, wandering through the city as couple and trying to complete our films as fast and awesome as possible. We laughed, we were creative and we were excited like little children when we handed in the films (of course not in the store with the rude lady!). I’m still so excited, but more then that, I’m happy to be with someone who could turn one of the most dissapointing evenings into a spontaneous creative walk through the city.
