One year of images, moments and photos. When I began this project I thought I would look back on day one and suddenly see a difference.<br/><br/> But making a resume is not that easy. When I began doing this project I felt unhappy, unbalanced and totally unable to change my ways. Nothing big changed though. I didn’t turn my life upside down, but I realized that I’m the one in charge of my own happiness. With every day I exercised making healthy decision, being nice to myself and most of all discovering myself. I’ve collected victories and captured them, I’ve shared my personal truths with all of you and spoke them out loud. The most talented and lovely people crossed my way. I can’t even count how many wonderful talks I had. <br/><br/> I’m happy today. I feel strong and able to handle my life. This project showed me that it is possible to make healthy choices and not let them go. We can’t changed who we are, but we can become aware of who we want to be. And start living for that. Not for social conventions, not for beauty images, not for perfection. We should start to live for what we love and want. <br/><br/> Thank you for being with me during this important year. I wished I could have pulled out something bigger and better for you guys, because you really turned this year special. This is really a little frightening. I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve been barely keeping up with my project and I actually didn’t really see the days going by. I know it’s not the last day, but I feel like this is the first time I’m realizing how many days and photos past. How often I stood inside my apartment after work, trying to figure out something to shoot or do. How often something wonderful happened and I’ve been so open to it because I was always searching for something special and captivating. <br/><br/> Be kind to the photographers you meet. We all fight a hard battle between our daily lifes, todos and tasks and that wish to create something special. We all put our hearts and thoughts into what we publish. We all think it’s not good enough, not different enough or sometimes even too personal, because with every image and text we strip off our superficial clothes and show you our blank flash and bones. I was on a dinner yesterday and most of the time my friends where looking at their smartphones. I was there, I wanted to talk to them, but I was somehow not as interesting as the internet.<br/><br/> In the end most people seem to only do things to impress other people. To take photos from their friends, partys and meals to impress other and pass the impression that they’re having so much fun. But in reality they’re just sitting their with a phone, passing out on real conversations and moments, to impress others. And if you think others are leading such an interesting life, stop feeling envy and question what you’re really seeing. You’re just seeing photos and texts, filtered moments being published. You’re just watching a show and you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.
